SPECIAL DANCE
Ice Cream Social
3rd Saturday in June

Our major dance of the year is the Ice Cream Social in June. The highlight of the evening is the "Make Your Own Sundae" party. There are four flavors of Ice Cream, all the fixings imaginable, and seconds and thirds for any or for all. Our Craft Raffle is known for its fine items available for your bidding (done as a teacup auction). Plenty of parking for RV's.

Other Special Dances:

Apple Pie Dance usually held in the fall.
Halloween Dance (Costumes Optional) in October.
Christmas or Holiday Dance held hopefully in December but often in late November (depends on caller's schedule).
All Request Night the first Saturday in January -come and request your favorite singing calls.
Sugar on Snow Dance in March. All the sugar (Maple Sugar for you non-locals) on snow (really, from somebody's back yard - it's a New England thing ) you can eat.
Annual Meeting and Pot Luck Supper, Picnic, etc.

About us.

Dances are normally held at Oxbow High School in Bradford. Oxbow High School is located on US Route 5 about a mile north of the village of Bradford. To enter go around to the rear parking lot and use the back door. Copies of the current schedule is available in the "Vermont Square Dance Calendar" published each year by the Vermont Association of Western Style Square Dance Clubs. Our dances are held from 7:30 to 10:30 PM on Saturday evenings. The Connecticut Valley Swingers have the reputation of being a friendly, relaxed club.

Workshops are also held at Oxbow on Tuesday nights from 6:45 to 9:00 PM. with Al Monty, our club caller. (Check with us for summer workshops) A free Fun Night is held the first Tuesday of September to welcome couples interested in joining our new class.
